Pride Counseling Services is seeking a LGBTQIA+ affirming Mental Health Therapist to provide culturally responsive care to queer and trans clients across Minnesota. We’re a people-first, self-managed practice rooted in justice, authenticity, and radical healing.

We help LGBTQIA+ individuals heal, energize, and reclaim their power through therapy. Our work is grounded in the Minority Stress Model, recognizing how systemic oppression—homophobia, transphobia, racism, gender norms—fuels mental health disparities. We don’t pathologize identity. We affirm it.

• Provide diagnostic assessments, individual, group, and/or family therapy
• Offer referrals and collaborate with external providers
• Deliver ongoing support that centers the client’s lived experience
• Practice with autonomy, creativity, and compassion

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy and fully licensed as a LICSW, LPCC, or LMFT.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth
• Experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals
• Comfort working with children and adolescents

Preferred Qualifications

• Credentialed with major Minnesota insurance providers
• Training or certification in trauma-informed care and/or sexual health
• Interest in facilitating therapy groups
• Lived experience or deep passion for LGBTQIA+ liberation

• Flexible schedule with a minimum of 22 billable sessions/week
• Mix of in-person in Mankato and telehealth
• Full-time | $40–$45/hour
